Guesthouse
Located on the northern side of the Metsovo Folk Art Museum, with its own separate entrance, the Foundation’s guesthouse comprises five simple double rooms, where guests are accommodated free of charge.
The wish of the Foundation’s late President, Evangelos Averoff, was to invite and host distinguished figures from the worlds of letters and the arts. Their only informal obligation was to create a piece of writing or a work of art inspired by Metsovo.
The guesthouse also accommodates speakers and participants attending conferences and events organised by the Averoff Museum of Modern Greek Art, which are usually held in the autumn.
Guests are offered a generous breakfast featuring the Foundation’s own rose-petal preserve, as well as butter and cheese from its Cheese Factory. Afternoon coffee or tea is served with traditional cake.
The Foundation welcomes applications for a stay from individuals distinguished in their fields. Applications should be submitted in writing to the Foundation’s headquarters:
